Thank you for visiting the website. It has been an honor to have served these past two terms as your District A Councilman and to be nominated again by the local Republican Town Committee here in the City of Norwalk, Connecticut. The municipal elections will be held Tuesday November 8, 2011; and our District polling places are Tracey Elementary School, Kendall Elementary School, Nathan Hale Middle School, and Saint Mary’s Community Hall.
This is an exciting time for the residents of Norwalk. Our Mayor, Richard Moccia, was elected six years ago and I'm proud to be a member of the 2009-2011 Common Council. This election year we have an excellent slate of candidates on the Republican ticket with plenty of experience and some new candidates who bring their enthusiasm and knowledge of the community.
District A is the geographical center of Norwalk and the downtown revitalization plans are shaping up throughout the district. The city is moving forward in a positive direction and our planners, administrators and municipal employees are working hard to ensure that our needs are met as we improve the infrastructure, educate our children and provide for the city's general health, safety and welfare.
I hope you will allow me the privilege to serve again as your Councilman. As a representative it is fundamental that the people expect you to have vision, beliefs and passionately care about your city and district. Yet officials must never forget they represent the people who elected them. Rather than use the office to pursue personal agendas, you can be assured that if re-elected I will always care about what is best for all the people and how they feel about the issues that affect them.
Sincerely,
Rich Bonenfant
